How tyre size comparison works
A metric tyre size combines width, aspect ratio and rim diameter. Sidewall height is width multiplied by the aspect ratio, while overall diameter adds both sidewalls to the rim diameter. Comparing circumference helps you understand rolling distance, revolutions and the speedometer effect of a different tyre.
